JOB SUMMARY:

Team lead, Retail Investment Products, is responsible for leading the development and management of all retail investment products for IFML. It also includes actively supporting the sales and marketing teams to run campaigns and actively engaged in sales to achieve sales and profit targets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Position Specific:

  • Manages all aspects of retail products including sales and marketing, operational efficiency, technology, and compliance.
  • Develops and executes a deposit strategy to achieve growth goals in terms of deposit growth and cost of funds.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of IFML customers’ investment needs and provide appropriate investment advisory services.
  • Monitors current trends of the Capital market and assesses market conditions to implement retail investment strategy to gain and sustain the company’s competitive edge.
  • Evaluates current retail investment products and services for opportunities to improve, change or expand the portfolio.
  • Provides weekly reports to supervisor.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives, actively seeking new business opportunities and referrals to expand the customer base.
  • Maintain good public relations with current and prospective customers.
  • Assesses, recommends, and implements marketing plans to meet retail banking strategic objectives.
  • Provide leadership for the entire RETAIL PRODUCTS of the company.

Collaboration:

  • Provides strategic leadership to promote a profitable sales experience across all retail markets while increasing customer value.
  • Leads the instruction and consistent execution of sales strategies to enhance corporate sales culture.
  • Acts as lead integrator of consumer business partners (digital investment strategies and wealth management)
  • Works in coordination with other departments as needed.
  • Collaborates and aligns Retail investment with Accounts, Compliance, and other partners as appropriate, to create, enhance, and maintain current procedures for retail investment banking.

People Management:

  • Promotes a culture of outstanding employee performance through ongoing engagement and talent development to improve retention and build a roster of future leaders.
  • Coaches team members at both the individual and team level to improve retail banking performance.
  • Assists in training and retention of high-quality employees committed to a culture of best-in-class customer service.

Compliance:

  • Adheres to corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
  • Completes all required training.
  • Actively communicates matters of potential audit or compliance risk.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A good first degree in any discipline. Relevant master’s degree and professional qualification will be an added advantage discipline.
  • 5-10 years retail banking or insurance experience of which should have been in a supervisory position with strong financial acumen.

PREFERRED CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Excellent depth of knowledge and understanding of Retail investment products
  • Strong experience in investment banking or insurance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Candidate should be innovative, organized, and able to execute the necessary steps to achieve the strategic vision.
  • SEC Licensed investment representative (not mandatory)
